ZRA pays out K2.9 billion tax refunds to exporters

THE Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has paid out K2.9 billion value added tax (VAT) refunds to exporters, including those in the mining sector, in the last four months.
During the period under review, the authority also collected K805.8 million in taxes registering an unprecedented increase above the 2017 target.
ZRA commissioner general Kingsley Chanda said the authority will continue to pay refunds on account of taxpayers submitting the necessary documents in accordance with Rule 18.
