ZNS youth drilling warms Lufuma’s heart

THE youth skills training programme occupies a special place in President Hakainde Hichilema’s heart as he desires to enhance the welfare of young people. Minister of Defence Ambrose Lufuma, who made the remarks, pointed out that Government is happy with the manner in which the Zambia National Service (ZNS) continues to execute the youth skills training syllabus despite numerous hiccups. Mr Lufuma was speaking yesterday at Chiwoko in Eastern Province during the graduation ceremony of the 05/2020 intake of youths. Under the 05/2020 cohort, ZNS has trained over 2,000 youths in different expertise in Kitwe and Katete districts. Mr Lufuma said Government wants to see a conducive environment being created for instructors and youths for the programme to continue growing into a success story. The minister also expressed his desire to see to it that trials facing youths are brought down to the barest minimum.
