OUTGOING Zambia Medical Association (ZMA) president Aaron Mujajati has thanked President Lungu and the Ministry of Health for supporting the association during his tenure of office.
Dr Mujajati has served two consecutive terms since 2013.
He said in a statement posted on his Facebook page that he is grateful for the support he received when he was ZMA president.
“My second term as president of the Zambia Medical Association ended this [Saturday] evening. Dr Abidan Chansa is the new president of the association,” he said.
Dr Mujajati also thanked media personnel who worked with him to continue disseminating information about the association.
“I also wish to thank all partners that supported our work. Special gratitude goes to His Excellency President Edgar Lungu and the Minister of Health Dr Chitalu Chilufya for supporting us during our term,” he said.
Dr Mujajati wished the new ZMA executive all the best and urged it to continue serving the country with diligence and dignity.
Other new ZMA office bearers are Samson Samson, who is vice president, the secretary is Francis Mupeta, the treasurer is Kevin Zimba while the chairperson for public health is Nsofwa Sukwa, all medical doctors.
