ZESCO United came from behind to beat 10-man Buildcon 3-1 in a thrilling Ndola derby yesterday in the Super Division Week Three fixture at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Ghanaian striker Rahim Osmanu gave Buildcon a false start when he headed in John Makwata’s corner on 38 minutes.
Zesco started the game well, pinning their opponents in their area with striker Winston Kalengo shooting wide after being put through by Enock Sabamukama on 34 minutes.
Coach Tenant Chembo withdrew Sabamukama for striker Adams Zikuri six minutes before the end of the first half.
Zikiru restored parity when he nodded in a Kalengo cross past goalkeeper Tatenda Mkuruva seven minutes into the second half.
