Zesco look to tip tie

HAVING lost the first leg by a 1-0 margin away in Lubumbashi, Zesco United will go into today’s CAF Champions League first round return match against Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) side TP Mazembe knowing that they can turn this contest around.
Although the ideal thing would have been to register an away goal, nonetheless the 1-0 scoreline does prove that the five-time Champions League winners are not impregnable after all.
“We know the importance of the game, so we will try to bring in certain elements that will help the players play a better game and that is what we have been doing and the response has been overwhelming because I am sure they are motivated by the magnitude of the game itself.
“It was not easy in Congo so even here it won’t be easy. We have to do our homework right. We are playing a team with high pedigree with a lot of experience but we also have the pedigree,” Zesco coach George Lwandamina said.
