Zesco face Power

ZESCO United will today open a four-point lead if they beat Power Dynamos in a Super Division rescheduled Week 13 match at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

Leaders Zesco have 44 points, one better than Green Buffaloes and three clear of fourth-placed Power.
Champions Zanaco have a seemingly easy rescheduled Week 13 fixture against Real Nakonde in Muchinga Province.
Victory will extend Zesco’s lead while defeat will see Power dislodging the Ndola side from the top slot.
Power have netted 34 times and conceded 17 while Zesco have scored 29 goals and allowed 14.
Zesco coach Zlatko Krmpotic has enough arsenal in Jesse Were, Jackson Mwanza, John Ching’andu, Maybin Kalengo and Fackson Kapumbu to hand Power the second defeat of the season.
Arthur Davies Stadium has proved to be a good hunting ground for Zesco over the years.
Zesco beat Power 2-1 in a league match last year and 1-0 in the Barclays Cup semi-finals.
The Ndola side went on to thump Power 4-2 in the semi-finals of the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield at the same venue on March 30, 2017.
But Power will count on Alex Ng’onga, Luka Lungu, Larry Bwalya and Kelvin Mubanga to climb to the summit.
Smarting from Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Nakambala Leopards, Zanaco will be looking forward to collecting maximum points at New Stadium in Nakonde.
Zanaco have struggled in the last six games winning twice and managing four draws.
Zanaco will welcome back goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata, defender Ziyo Tembo, midfielders Ernest Mbewe and Augustine Mulenga from national team duty and coach Mumamba Numba will unleash his best squad.
But Real could defy football hierarchy if underrated.
Sixth-placed Zanaco have 37 points while second from bottom Real are on 15.
