ZDA records high in investments

ZAMBIA Development Agency (ZDA) has this year recorded over US$4.5 billion in projected investments and facilitated export deals.
The agency has also recorded projected employment of 20,709 jobs in 2018, which was a reduction from the 24,660 in 2017.
ZDA acting director general Cosam Ngoma said of the total amount, US$3.9 billion was recorded in projected investments while US$109.5 million was recorded as facilitated export deals.
This is contained in a statement issued by ZDA communications and public relations manager Faith Musonda yesterday.
Mr Ngoma said of the total projected investment, the energy sector attracted the larger chunk of US$1.5 billion, representing 39 percent, the manufacturing sector was second with US$708.4 million, representing 18 percent, and the mining sector US$ 241 million, representing six percent.
