THE Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has given the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) US$250,000 as a way of motivating players and technical staff ahead of Saturday’s CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg against Zanaco.
And former Zanaco midfielder Augustine Mulenga has urged the Bankers to finish off the Gambians at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka to render the return leg a formality.
GFF president Lamin Kaba Bajo said the Gambian side will receive a similar amount if they qualify to the first round.
Bajo told the Gambian media that the GFF expects GAF and Hawks, the country’s representatives in the Confederation Cup to perform well in continental competitions.
Hawks face Nigerian side Akwa United.
