Zanaco midfield needs attention

Dear editor,
COACH Numba Mumamba has demonstrated and proved capable of taking on any club in MTN/FAZ Super Division in the past few years through his midfield mind tactics.Somehow, it’s like Numba is forgetting that for some time, Zanaco have never depended on strikers for goals but on midfielders for winning matches.
Looking at the calibre of players and the club’s financial muscle, Zanaco shouldn’t be struggling in maintaining its name.
When Zanaco played their first game this year in the CAF Champions League, that starting line-up gave hope to fans and intimidated some clubs in the MTN/FAZ Super Division. The team looked stable, it had the physique, energy and pace of winning.
Zanaco have midfielders capable of attacking and defending, and also fearless defenders. That is why it is unacceptable to lose more than six games in one season. The teams which should give Zanaco fans sleepless nights are Zesco United, Nkana, Green Buffaloes and Power Dynamos.
Losing to National Assembly 3-1 and Nkana 4-2 is unacceptable. It is a clear indication that Zanaco are lacking something in the midfield.
