ROBINSON KUNDA, Lusaka
ZANACO and Lumwana Radiants will today target the fifth position on the Super Division log when they battle it out in a rescheduled Week 12
match at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.
The match comes 48 hours after the Bankers drew 1-1 with Green Eagles in a Week 21 match in Lusaka.
Zanaco coach Mumamba Numba will be looking for an improved performance from his players as they seek closing in on the top sides.
Zanaco are currently seventh on the table with 31 points at par with Lumwana but have a better goal aggregate.
Today’s game will be a tough one considering Lumwana’s recent form which has seen them occupy the eighth slot and Zanaco should not expect an easy ride despite playing at home.
“We did not play well against Eagles but we need to do better when we meet Lumwana. It is not good to drop points even though we are not under pressure,” Numba said.
Last season, Zanaco beat Lumwana in Lusaka and 4-1 away.
Zanaco will rely on midfielders Isaac Chansa and Ernest Mbewe and striker Felix Nyaende to bounce back to winning ways.
