IN ITS quest to offer basic banking services to unbanked communities across the country, Zanaco Xpress distribution currently stands at over 21,000 agents that have also resulted in creation of over 30,000 jobs.
Giving highlights of its digital banking yesterday, Zanaco Plc acting managing director Kalengo Simukoko said a few years ago, banking individuals in far-flung areas was mission impossible, but the era of digitisation has made it possible for banks to reach these areas and ensure that as many people as possible are financially included.
Mr Simukoko said Zanaco believes that driving a digital agenda can foster economic and social development.
He disclosed that in 2018, Zanaco embarked on a digital transformation journey not only to become the top transactional bank by 2025, but to ensure that it becomes more accessible to its customers through various digital channels.
