Zambia’s climate system changing – South PS

SOUTHERN Province permanent secretary Sibanze Simuchooba says observations from this year’s rainfall pattern have showed that Zambia’s climate system is changing.
Mr Simuchooba said it is therefore important for technocrats and stakeholders to bear in mind the anticipated effects which the unpredictable climate patterns will have on communities.
He was speaking when he officially opened a workshop for planners and district administrators drawn from Central, Lusaka and Southern provinces on the pilot programme for climate resilience hosted by the Interim Climate Change Secretariat under the Ministry of Finance.
