Zambia’s capital market to improve

NANCY MWAPE, Lusaka
ZAMBIA’S capital market, which has not been performing favourably, is expected to improve this year supported by stable exchange rate and declining interest rates.
With stability in the economy, two companies have expressed interest to list on the Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE).
However, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chief executive officer Phillip Chitalu could not give further information on the would-be entrants as the process is still in its early stage.
