‘All Zambians in Turkey safe’

GOVERNMENT has assured the nation that all Zambians living in Turkey are safe after a car bomb exploded in that country’s capital, Ankara.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Dorcas Chileshe said an estimated 200 Zambians are known to be in Turkey.
Mrs Chileshe said in a statement yesterday that Government will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and that all Zambians living in Turkey have been advised to exercise caution in their daily activities.
“Following the brutal car bomb in Ankara, Turkey, which took place on March 13, 2016, killing at least 34 people and injuring more than 125 people, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its Mission in Turkey, wishes to inform the public that all Zambians living in Turkey are reported to be safe.”
