Zambian musicians should go to school

Dear editor,
ALLOW me space to comment on Zambian music. Some deejays do not understand the prime focus of releasing songs which are played on radio. Some of these songs do not deserve airtime because they are made up of foul language. Despite this, they are played on radio.
Musicians should take time to study music so that they can produce quality works.
It is not surprising that Zambian songs get little airtime on major radio or television stations in Africa. I believe the growth of the music industry can be supported by education. Our musicians should take an interest to learn how to play instruments rather than playbacks, mostly used in their songs.
Zambian musicians should learn from others like Maureen Lilanda, Angela Nyirenda, the former Sakala Brothers group, Amayenge Band and Air Power Band.
