STEVEN MVULA, Lusaka
ZAMBIAN small and medium scale entrepreneurs are in Addis Ababa to attend the Arab-Ethiopian Exhibition, Africa Industrial Exports and Investment Conference.
The Zambians are among other African entrepreneurs who are participating at this year’s investment and industrial conference which is being held at the United Nations Conference Centre.
The entrepreneurs are exhibiting branded textile products, gemstones and jewelry.
This is according to a statement issued by first secretary for press at the Zambian mission, Naomi Chulu.
Ms Chulu said other products being exhibited are dried foodstuffs such as kapenta and vegetables.
One of the participants Gertrude Phiri described the investment conference as a good platform to enhance Zambia’s exports.
Ms Phiri said the conference provided an opportunity for them to enhance business partnerships with their Arab counterparts.
She said Zambian businesses will learn a lot in terms of modern machinery and efficient business practices.
The conference officially opened on Thursday and will end today.
It is one of the biggest investment and export conferences in Africa and draws participants from Arab and African countries.
