Zambia to review need for power projects

PRESIDENT Lungu says Government will assess whether Zambia needs to develop more new power stations or tap into the 2,000 megawatts (MW) surplus power available from South Africa and the region.
President Lungu has also said there is need for experts in the field of energy to clear misconceptions surrounding nuclear energy.
The President said he does not see why Zambia should begin setting up more power plants when there is excess energy in South Africa, which can be made available cheaply through regional integration.READ MORE
