Zambia thrash Rwanda

ZAMBIA yesterday thumped hapless Rwanda in a one-sided Africa Cup Group 1C at Showground in Lusaka to boost their chances of qualifying for Group 1B.

Rwanda, despite having physical players, were no match for the Zambians, who dominated possession throughout the match.
The Mwamba Chishimba-mentored side who were in a class of their own, scored 13 tries and converted seven.
Lastone Mukosa opened the floodgates through a penalty while Brian Mbalwe, Kabwe Musonda, Philip Kamanga, Michello Shelleni, Simon Nyangu and Oscar Bwalya scored a try apiece.
Laston Mukwasa converted all the tries.
Rwanda scrum-half Bikamba Ismoel scored a consolation penalty after the break.
