Zambia Sugar loses K190 million to smugglers

ZAMBIA Sugar lost about K190 million worth of business last year following the influx of smuggled sugar from Zimbabwe.
The company has a major market share of 85 percent with 15 percent being shared between Kasama and Kafue Sugar.
But company managing director Rebecca Katowa said the influx of smuggled sugar resulted in the company losing 20,000 tonnes, translating in 16 percent of its market share.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
