Zambia Revenue Authority seizes diesel, petrol

ESTHER MSETEKA, Lusaka
THE Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) at Chirundu border has intercepted three fuel tankers laden with diesel and petrol worth K2.8 million, but the consignment documentations stated duty-free Jet A1 fuel.

ZRA corporate communications manager Topsy Sikalinda said in an interview yesterday that the latest interception brings the total number of seized tankers to 14.
Mr Sikalinda said investigations have revealed that the misclassification of petrol and diesel as Jet A1 fuel was meant to facilitate smuggling of the consignment.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
