Zambia lose to Uganda, finish 4th

ZAMBIA on Friday finished fourth at the 2015 Diamond Netball Challenge after losing to Uganda.
Uganda beat Zambia 59-34 in the third place play-off at Ugu Sports Centre in Durban, South Africa.
Zambia, who have lost all their matches at the tournament, failed to match the skilful East Africans who completed a double over their opponents following a 59-36 victory in a round robin game on Wednesday.
Zambia put up an impressive performance despite losing the opening quarter 14-12.
The Zambians lost steam along the way allowing the She-Cranes to lead 29-20 by half time.
By the third quarter, Uganda led 44-27 before finishing off the match to beat the Zambians 59-34.
The Diamond Challenge is a competition featuring Africa’s representatives at the August 7 to 16 Netball World Cup in Sydney, Australia.
South Africa are the 2015 champions after beating Malawi 40-35
Zambia also used the tournament to prepare for this weekend’s Africa Cup Netball Championship in Namibia and the World Cup.
Zambia started the tournament with a 63-38 defeat to South Africa on Tuesday and the following day went down to 59-36 to Uganda before Malawi beat them 60-37 on Thursday.
