Zambia, Japan negotiate FDI deal

THE Japanese government is negotiating for an investment promotion agreement with Zambia that will boost volume of foreign direct investment and strengthen trade relations between the two countries.
In an interview on Friday, Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Hidenobu Sobashima said once the negotiations are formalised, the volume of investments between the two countries are expected to increase.
Currently, there are 13 Japanese companies operating in Zambia that are registered with the embassy.
