Zambia, India trade hits $1 billion mark

TRADE volumes between Zambia and India increased from US$980 million last year to over US$1 billion this year.
Zambia’s High Commissioner to India Judith Kapijimpanga said in 2016, trade between the two countries stood at US$650 million and that the mission has this year exceeded its US$1 billion target of promoting trade between Zambia and India.
“Business visas issued to Indian traders and investors also increased from 520 in 2017 to 602 this year,” she said.
