Zambia in $325.4 million deficit

ZAMBIA’S high expenditure on petroleum products was the major contributor to the country’s overall trade deficit of around USS$325 million last year from the surplus of US$18.3 million in 2017.
The country imports its petroleum products from the Middle East.
According to the Ministry of Finance annual economic report for 2018, the current account deficit widened to US$1.1 billion from US$420 million in 2017. http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
