Zambia to face New Zealand in netball friendly

THE Zambia national netball team will face New Zealand in an international friendly on August 3.
The Zambian queens are preparing for the Sydney World Cup getting underway on August 7.
Coach Charles Zulu, who confirmed the development in an interview in Lusaka yesterday, said the friendly against New Zealand will go a long way in shaping up for the World Cup.
The friendly is billed for Sydney.
“The New Zealand friendly will give us a clear picture of European teams. By that time the days for the World Cup will be nearer, so we will know how we have prepared,” Zulu said.
The team is expected to leave for Sydney today.
“All the weaknesses have been worked on. Since the days are fast approaching we are just doing our final touches,” Zulu said.
Zambia have been drawn with Uganda, Fiji and Wales in Group D.
Zulu is optimistic the team will put up a positive performance at the World Cup.
The 10-day tournament will end on August 16.
