AFTER a lacklustre performance against Malawi, Zambia yesterday showed signs of improvement in a convincing win over Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to open up a two-point lead in Group A.
“It is a good result for Zambia, especially for the boys. Looking at the game we played against Malawi, most of the boys were not confident on the ball but we could see some progression in most of them and we are doing fine.
“It’s just unfortunate that our counterparts had to come out with a 2-0 defeat. It’s not supposed to be like that because we had a lot of chances of which we could not utilise. Otherwise they [DRC] are a good side and they are blessed that they are big in stature but our boys managed to hold onto the ball,’’ “Zambia coach Charles Bwale said at a briefing.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
