MWAPE MWENYA, Lusaka
A TRADITIONAL leader in Southern Province has urged women and youths to shun violence before, during and after tomorrow’s general elections.
Chief Chikanta said in an interview that Zambia has been known to be a beacon of peace and unity since independence and it is therefore cardinal to condemn violence.
He said violence does not only affect vulnerable groups such as women and children but it also deteriorates national development.
Chief Chikanta said Zambia has always practised mature politics despite political divergence; therefore, all political party leaders should embrace peace.
