Yanga reject coach resignation

LWANDAMINA

MULWANDA LUPIYA, Ndola
TANZANIAN side Young Africans have rejected coach Hans van der Pluijm’s resignation.
Pluijm stepped down on Thursday following the impending appointment of Zesco United coach George Lwandamina.
According to a letter dated October 28, 2016 and signed by general secretary Baraka Deusdedit, the club apologised to Pluijm for the inconvenience.
“Since you joined with Young Africans Sports Club in December 2014, your achievement has been tremendous and you have helped the team to win the championship in Vodacom Premier League twice, Community Shield and Tanzania Football Federation FA Cup. With this record, management of YASC has declined your resignation request, so we are kindly asking you [Pluijm] to resume your position as head coach of the club as from now,” read part of the letter.
