Woman nabbed over cocaine

KATONGO LUMPA, Lusaka
THE Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) on the Copperbelt has arrested a businesswoman of Luanshya for allegedly trafficking in cocaine.
DEC public relations officer Theresa Katongo said in a statement yesterday that the commission has arrested Justina Phiri of house number 86KM Kamirenda for allegedly trafficking in 48 rocks of cocaine.
Ms Katongo said Ms Phiri was arrested in Kitwe at her guest house in Kwacha East and she will appear in court soon.
“Justina Phiri is purportedly connected to a notorious Nigerian drug dealer by the name of Wisdom Amagbaobi who was convicted in 2012 and deported to Nigeria for drug-related offences. Mr Amagbaobi is allegedly back in Zambia and is currently on the run. DEC has since instituted a manhunt to ascertain his whereabouts,” Ms Katongo said.
