Wifi on public transport, please!

Dear editor,
THERE has been excitement in Lusaka since the mayor launched the trial of the free Wifi in selected places of the capital city.
Residents in other districts are waiting for this innovation.
In South Africa, Pretoria, Johannesburg and Ekhuruleni and other cities have implemented it.
In Sweden, Wifi is free on public transport.
We look forward to a day when our public bus operators such as Juldan, Power Tools, Mazhandu, Shalom, Euro, Wada Chovu, among others, can also start implementing it.
It may not be totally free to the end user as bus operators may find ways of factoring it in the cost of the ticket.
Instead of paying K10 to ‘hangers around’ bus stations who purport to bring passengers, that amount could go towards Wifi.
