MWEMBESHI Police Post in Lusaka’s Zingalume township in Matero Constituency was gutted by some irate residents in March 2015.
Since then, we have had no police presence in the area.
This has compromised security, resulting in high levels of crime.
Some companies assisted in renovating the police post through corporate social responsibility last year.
Surprisingly, the police post has not yet been reopened
Therefore, I would like to earnestly appeal to the Inspector General of Police, Kakoma Kanganja, and Minister of Home Affairs Honourable Stephen Kampyongo to consider reopening the facility in order to provide security in the area. We have suffered enough.
