LAST Thursday, I bought tomatoes from a vendor in Kabwata at B.C. Zulu. After paying him, the vendor, who claimed to be a former Hillcrest Technical Secondary School pupil, said the tomato breed was from Israel and should not be cooked with vegetables because they would go sour.
When I got home, I discovered that the tomatoes were rotten.
It was a hard lesson.
That is why it is very difficult to trust every vendor.
The ‘Hillcrest’ vendor’s days are numbered.
