A 30-YEAR-OLD Zambia National Service (ZNS) civilian staff has asked the Chesltone local court to grant divorce in his marriage of two years, saying his wife was wasting food on her friends.
Before senior court magistrate Bertha Zulu, sitting with presiding magistrate Hope Mwila was Ernest Tembo of Mtendere township.
Tembo told the court that since he married Esnart Phiri, 26 of Lusaka’s Kaunda Square Stage One, there has been no peace in their marriage because whenever he buys food, his wife would dish it out to her friends.
And in passing judgment, senior court magistrate Zulu said despite Phiri’s claims that she still loves Tembo, it was clear the couple was unhappy and granted divorce.
