MULWANDA LUPIYA, Ndola
MUFULIRA Wanderers coach Wilson Mwale says his side is not intimidated facing 12-time league champions Nkana on Sunday.
The glamorous sides renew their rivalry in a Super Division Week 18 match at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.
Mwale said in an interview in Mufulira yesterday that Wanderers, the nine-time league kings, are going to Kitwe to fight for maximum points.
“The water at Wanderers is still boiling so I am just trying to cool it down. Facing Nkana for us is just like any other team and there is no phobia for us and may the best team on the day win.
“We are going there to fight because as a soldier you don’t go to a war to lose and we are fighting relegation and we need points,” Mwale said.
The former Napsa Stars and Nakambala Leopards trainer said his side has shown tremendously improvement since he took over.
Mwale said he respects the Kitwe outfit and coach Beston Chambeshi but 90 minutes will tell which team will win.
Last season, Nkana beat Wanderers 2-1 in Kitwe and the return leg ended 2-2.
