TEENAGE golfer Abhi Walia and Michael Mbambiko on Friday won the inaugural Metropolitan Golf Day at Lusaka
Walia and Mbambiko fired 61 net to win the one-day Metropolitan-sponsored event.
The two were rewarded with a minI bar fridge each for their outstanding performance.
Rudolf Mugabe and Raymond Kufekisa were one point behind to claim second position.
The third place went to Tina Nawa, who tied on 64 net with Charles Lilywalii and Rodney Sikumba.
Lilywalii and Sikumba were relegated into the fourth after a count-back.
Bwalya Kasolo and his partner, Steve Nawa, were fifth after managing 66 net while Shannon Joynt and Charles Madziwa finished a distant seventh with 67 net.
Chifundo Phiri and James Banda played most golf with 81 net.
Metropolitan managing director Lovemore Gomera described the tournament as a success.
Gomera said the event provided a platform for his company to interact with its clients and consolidate their relationship.
He also thanked the golfers who participated in the tournament.
Gomera pledged continued support towards the sport in future.
The tournament attracted over 80 golfers.
