Waive visas, urges DRC minister

THE Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has appealed to the Zambian government to consider waiving visas for citizens entering the two neighbouring countries.

And Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba says Government wants peace to return to the DRC, especially that the country is Zambia’s important trading partner.

Mr Kalaba said Government will look into the proposal by the DRC through his counterpart Emmanuel Kasongo to waive visas to facilitate smooth movement of Zambians and Congolese to either country.
Mr Kasongo made the request when he met Mr Kalaba yesterday.
