FOOTBALL Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga has cast doubt on the future of Chipolopolo trainer Wedson Nyirenda, saying Football House is looking for someone more ambitious to take the team forward.
The remarks by Kamanga are the clearest indication yet that the association may be looking for a new coach to qualify the Chipolopolo to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Kamanga said yesterday on Hot FM radio in Lusaka that FAZ is looking for a coach in the mould of former Chipolopolo coach Herve Renard, who won the Africa Cup of Nations with Zambia in 2012 and Ivory Coast three years later before qualifying Morocco to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
