MINISTRY of Tourism and Arts permanent secretary Liya Mutale has urged Zambians to use their talents to market the country’s culture and tourism endowments.
Dr Mutale says every citizen has a role to play in marketing the country’s uniqueness to the world, especially its cultural diversity.
She said this in a speech read for her by National Arts Council director Adrian Chipindi during the seventh edition of the Miss Universe Zambia beauty pageant.
“Pageants are not just about beauty but they are also about using your talent to market the country. It’s everyone’s responsibility to showcase the country’s beauty, culture and heritage to the outside world,” Dr Mutale said.
