Use your influence objectively, PS tells media

MALAMA

ACKIM MUSONDA, Lusaka
MINISTRY of Information and Broadcasting Services permanent secretary Godfrey Malama says the media yields tremendous influence on the outcome of this year’s general elections and has urged practitioners to be objective in their reportage.
Speaking during the launch of the media monitoring report by the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Zambia and the Media Liaison Committee in Lusaka yesterday, Mr Malama also advised media houses to observe media ethics and avoid aligning themselves with political players.
“I hope the journalists appreciate what this report is intended for and will indulge in serious self-introspection and improve upon their performance,” he said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
