YOUTHS who are receiving support from the Youth Empowerment Fund (YEF) should use the money prudently and pay back so that their colleagues can also benefit from the initiative, Government has said.
Chief government spokesman Chishimba Kambwili said yesterday that youths have to grow their respective businesses and pay back the loans so that more of them benefit from the Patriotic Front (PF) empowerment programme.
“This is the fund which can help as many youths as possible to become entrepreneurs. Under this scheme we give loans to small-scale groups and individuals. Then we have also introduced a scheme for street vendors so that we can give them more loans for them to sustain their lives,” Dr Kambwili said at the Ndola Civic Centre during the handover of four Higer buses to four youth groups on the Copperbelt.READ MORE
