US Congress pushes for investment

THE United States (US) Congress has mandated the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) to establish links with Zambia to boost America’s investment in developing countries.Sub-Saharan Africa is a region of focus for OPIC, comprising more than one quarter of its US$23 billion active portfolio.
OPIC chief executive officer Ray Washburne said the organisation is eager to invest in economic sectors like energy, agriculture, transport and logistics, tourism and information and communication technology.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
