Up your game, pharmacists told

CHILUFYA

SYLVESTER CHISHIMBA, Lusaka
GOVERNMENT has urged pharmacists to play an effective role in the fight to stop the pilferage of medical drugs in health institutions.
Deputy Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya said government alone cannot single-handedly stop the scourge without the co-operation of pharmacists.
He was speaking yesterday during the official launch of the Pharmaceutical Week themed ‘Reducing the Disease Burden through Pharmaceutical Care’.
“Zambia today has a challenge in the national supply chain; we have seen drugs being stolen from various health institutions in the country. We must work together to ensure that members of the general public benefit from the drugs,” he said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
