Up game in input distribution – MAZ

THE Millers Association of Zambia (MAZ) has called on Government to improve the distribution of inputs for the 2018/2019 farming season to address the challenges that led to low yields last season.
MAZ president Andrew Chintala said there is need for Government to ensure that input suppliers of the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) under the electronic (e) voucher system are paid in time for farmers to plant on time and increase production.
Mr Chintala said in an interview yesterday that the announcement by Government to revert 40 percent of the farmers to the manual system of accessing inputs will help in addressing the inefficiencies that were experienced under FISP.
