Uni-visa boosts Zambia tourism

TRYNESS MBALE, Lusaka
ROBIN Pope Safaris, a local tourism firm says the launch of the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA) Uni-visa between Zambia and Zimbabwe last year has made it easy for tourists to move across the border and will contribute to increasing arrivals this year.
Last year, Zimbabwe and Zambia launched KAZA Uni-visa tailored to increase arrivals, revenue and enhance competitiveness for the tourism sector of both countries.
According to Robin Pope Safaris newsletter posted on Destination Zambia website on Wednesday and obtained by the Daily Mail that tourists will only pay once for an entry visa into Zambia.
“The Kaza Uni-visa has been introduced, meaning that it is now easier than ever to cross the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia,” the statement reads.
