UK ready to help COMESA increase trade

BRITISH High Commissioner to Zambia Nicholas Woolley says the United Kingdom (UK) is ready to support President Hakainde Hichilema increase trade volumes among Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) states as he takes over chairmanship of the regional body. Mr Hichilema took over the chairmanship of COMESA yesterday during the 22nd COMESA Heads of State and Government summit. Speaking on the sidelines of the summit, Mr Woolley said UK is ready to support Mr Hichilema’s vision of boosting intra-African trade to improve the economies of Africa and COMESA states.
