Uganda seeks Zambia’s advice

CATHERINE MUMBA,Lusaka
A FIVE–MEMBER delegation from Uganda is in Zambia to seek advice on best practices in the education sector.
Speaking when the delegation paid a courtesy call on Ministry of Higher Education permanent secretary Owen Mugemezulu in Lusaka yesterday, delegation leader and assistant commissioner for management services Joseph Turyatemba said most Ugandans who obtained their educational qualifications in Zambia have good positions in that country.
“It is for this reason that we thought Zambia and Uganda have a lot in common and that we can learn something from each other. We wish to get your advice and see how we can also apply the best education practices,” he said.
Mr Turyatemba said Uganda also seeks to design an appropriate educational structure and identify areas of collaboration with Zambia.
