ZAMBIA yesterday suffered the third defeat at the 2017 World Youth Netball Championship qualifiers after losing 28-22 to Uganda.
The Zambian queens lost to South Africa 39-20 in the opening match, tumbled 46-24 to Zimbabwe before overcoming hosts Botswana 42-35.
Netball Association of Zambia general secretary Pritchard Ngoma confirmed the results from Gaborone yesterday.
“It’s unfortunate we again failed to win when it mattered most and this result has killed all our dreams of a World Cup appearance. But we need to remain focused in the remaining matches,” Ngoma said.
