Turks eye Zambia

SOME Turkish companies specialised in manufacturing agricultural equipment and spare parts have expressed interest in establishing branches in Zambia.
This came to light on Tuesday when Zambia’s ambassador to Turkey Miriam Mulenga toured PAKPEN Enterprises that manufactures irrigation pipes and other devices.
Ambassador Mulenga invited the company to contribute to Zambia’s vision of having 17,000 hectares of land under irrigation by 2016 to attain national food security and export surplus.
PAKPEN Enterprises manager Isletmeler Muduru expressed readiness to explore the Zambian market and assured ambassador Mulenga of the company’s commitment to produce quality products at competitive prices.
