PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has urged the Zambia Correctional Service (ZCS) to treat inmates with dignity because they are human beings despite having broken the law.
And newly appointed ZCS Commissioner-General Chisela Chileshe says the service will use the US$4.6 million from the World Bank to improve its agricultural output.
The President said inmates are human beings and so deserve dignity.
“For me, incarceration of a human being doesn’t entail loss of human dignity. Let’s work together and see how we can improve the lives of inmates and make them feel that they are part of the bigger family of Zambians,” President Lungu said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
