Transparent roadmap set for teachers’ recruitment

THE Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) has engaged the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to make this year’s teacher recruitment process more transparent.
And the commission says top priority will be given to teachers who graduated in 2015 and before to clear the backlog of graduates.
TCZ chairperson Stanley Mhango said in a statement yesterday that the commission wants to ensure that the teacher recruitment exercise is done in a fair and transparent manner.
Mr Mhango said in the past, teacher recruitment exercises have faced challenges ranging from not prioritising people that graduated earlier and lack of ownership of the process by districts and provinces
